Standard 8: Reflection and Continuous Growth
The teacher is a reflective practitioner who uses evidence to continually evaluate and adapt practice to meet the needs of each learner. Rational: Reflecting on how a lesson went directs me in what I should do next. I can reflect and find that when I tried something it didn't go well so I may not want to do something like that in the future. Or it may give me the opposite insight, I may have found the perfect way to teach my class something. I found that reflecting on my own work helped me so much. I gained more confidence because I knew what to do differently. On the time when reflections showed me that I didn't know how to fix a situation I can call on anyone of my colleague to help support me better teach my students. |
